Sunday Worship at 10:45 A.M.

We gather every Sunday for worship at 10:45 A.M. This is the best place to get to know us and become part of us. Our Sunday Worship is probably best characterized as “warm formal.” We value a wide variety of the traditions of Christian worship—its rich heritage of music and ritual patterns. We also value community and connection, sharing our concerns and joys as we gather and as we pray.

To extend the community we nourish in worship, Fellowship Hour follows worship each Sunday, with coffee, juice, and other treats. If you are new among us, don’t worry that you won’t know anybody—it’s our job to welcome you and introduce ourselves, and most weeks we do a pretty good job of that. Try it, you’ll like it!

We seek to be intentionally inclusive in worship, especially in our use of language for God and for God’s people. We value the presence of all ages in worship—though young children (ages 2-7) have the option of participating in “Extended Session” age-appropriate activities during the latter portion of worship. Nursery care is also provided for infants and toddlers.

As a church, we particularly value the proclamation of the Word—usually through a sermon, but also through art, music, and drama on occasion. On the first Sunday of each month, our worship includes the celebration of Holy Communion, also known as the Eucharist or Lord’s Supper. In this simple ritual meal of bread and cup, we remember the last meal of Jesus with his disciples, and we “re-member” ourselves— reconnecting with the Body of Christ, the church.
