Building Use, Small Groups, Staffing, Church Office Information

Our staff continues to work remotely and the building is only being used for Second Helping and the 12 steps groups that meet there. Those using the building must adhere to our COVID policies. We do have volunteers and staff visiting the building on a regular basis for safety and security purposes. If you have items to drop off for the Blessing Box, please leave those outside ONLY and please be sure to wear gloves or wash your hands before and after delivering those items.

Small groups are allowed to gather, but only outdoors and in accordance with our COVID policies. If you have any questions about the COVID policies, please contact the church office. These policies are being reviewed and updated on a regular basis by our COVID Task Force and Cabinet and are subject to change at any time.
COVID Policies for First Congregational UCC
As our congregational leadership continues to faithfully discern our path forward together, we want to share with you some of the resources we are regularly consulting as we make decisions together:
  • Guidance from the State of Kansas
  • Guidance from Riley County
  • Guidance for Congregations from the Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ
  • Guidance for Congregations from the Wisconsin Council of Churches

Additionally, our Church Cabinet has adopted for use these Pandemic Ministry Values to use as we make decisions together. We ask that you continue to hold our congregational leaders in your prayers as we work together to make the most faithful decisions for our congregation and community.
