Events
Feast & Festival
This event kicks off our fall schedule each year with food and fun for everyone. Usually held in late August, we gather on a Sunday evening for an informal meal which is always topped off with delicious “Call Hall” ice cream from K-State. Sometimes it’s fried chicken, other times it’s a pig roast, but it's always great food. There is a variety of activities and games—notably the cake walk where everybody tries their luck to take home a sweet treat.
Harvest Dinner
Thanksgiving is truly a “Congregational” holiday, started by our Puritan and Separatist ancestors. So on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, we celebrate a traditional Harvest Potluck dinner. We have a lot of great cooks in our church, and this is always a chance to sample their best efforts.
Elegant Evening
Elegant Evening is both a fellowship event and a fundraiser. It only comes once every few years, but when it comes, we pull out all the stops. The evening begins with hors d'oeuvres, wine, and other beverages, continues with a formal sit-down dinner, and concludes with an amazing auction of everything from homemade pies to weekend getaways. For those wanting to spend a little less, there is always a variety of dinner and party options sponsored by members—one of the favorites being the Daiquiri Party.
Kids' Movie Night
Every other month, the elementary and middle school-aged members get together and watch a movie in the church's "Holywood Theatre". It's a fun night of fellowship, popcorn, laughs, and friends. We watch everything from comedy to drama such as "Akeelah and the Bee" and "The Princess Bride."
