➡️➡️➡️ We need adult sponsors who can lead activities during the structured time (8-11pm) when the youth will rotate through activities like baking, art projects, music making/worship planning, and outdoor games. Please click here and then put your name in one of the empty (white) boxes. You'll be responsible for leading a one-hour activity for a group of 4-10 youth. We can assist with purchasing supplies. Note: You will need to be logged into the Google account that you use for our Google Group to make changes to the document.

Planning Timeline
March 1: e-mail names of at least one adult per congregation who will serve as a sponsor to Caela and Jacob (help lead activities, supervise participants for entirety of event)
March 15: background checks for all adult participants completed (see below)
TBD in the second half of March: Zoom meeting for all adult sponsors to discuss expectations.
At the Zoom meeting we will want a solid estimate of number of youth participants from your congregation.
April 1: deadline for individuals from your congregation to register using the online form. Direct your youth to the form at uccmanhattan.org/lockin or by sharing this short link: bit.ly/3HXq1vm. bit.ly/3HXq1vm . (Note: if you receive a paper copy of the form, email it to Caela.)
April 3: donation for food/supplies due to First Congregational Manhattan (see below)

Safe Conduct Information
All adult sponsors will agree to abide by the Safe Conduct policies of First Congregational UCC of Manhattan. Please read those policies here and direct any questions to Caela. If you have a background check that’s been completed in the last 3 years by your home congregation, you can email a copy of the completed background check to Caela. If you do not have a current background check, please fill out this volunteer application form and submit it by March 1.
Funding
To defray the costs for food and activity supplies, we are asking each church to make a single donation of $10-$20 per youth attending. You may mail a check to First Congregational UCC, 700 Poyntz. Ave. Manhattan, KS 66502 or make your donation online. Please put "youth lock in" in the memo of the check or online donation.
You are welcome to pay for this out of your own congregation’s budget or ask each youth to make a contribution (or a combination of the two). It’s important to use that everyone who wants to attend is able to, so please let us know if this is a barrier to your participation.
