Are you committed to an anti-racist identity and trying to learn more about how you can join others in dismantling white supremacy? Join us!

We will be using Part Two of the four-part White Privilege curriculum from the UCC and you are invited to join us whether or not you participated in Part One during Sunday School this past spring. Friends from Bethel AME will also join us for this retreat. Guests from the wider community are welcome to join us - please note that the curriculum is explicitly Christian. Childcare and activities for children will be provided throughout the retreat, so you can bring the whole family!

Our facilitators will be Nancy Eggen, Minister for Racial Justice for the Kansas-Oklahoma Conference of the UCC, and Julia Gaughan, member of Plymouth UCC in Lawrence.

There is a registration fee of $10 per person for this event and you can pay online via the registration form OR by submitting a check to the church office (memo: anti-racism retreat). Scholarships are available for those who need them. Please contact Pastor Caela to inquire about a scholarship. We do not want the cost of the event to interfere with anyone's ability to attend.
Please plan on reading PART TWO of the curriculum (34 pages) before the retreat. You can download the curriculum for free and place it on your tablet or e-reader, if you have one, or print a copy. Additionally, if you'd like to have the church office print a copy, please let us know when you register.

Trouble with the online registration? Contact the church office (e-mail or call 785-537-7006).
