We have an opportunity to witness for peace during Manhattan's annual Veteran's Day parade on Friday 11 November organized by the Manhattan Mennonite Church. Participants will gather at 821 Poyntz Avenue about 9 am on Friday 11 November in or near a booth tent under trees along the northeast edge of the property. Signs, graced with the dove of peace, will include MC-USA's "Pray for Peace, Act for Peace" a "Veterans for Peace" banner and a third sign offering information on obtaining free mental & medical exams for veterans and GIs as well as their families who are suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress or other ill effects of military service. These are made available through the GI Rights Hotline and the Civilian Medical Resources Network.
